Archival inkjet prints, documentation of a relational project, 2015, 6"w x 9"h (each)
I follow words, queasiness and the context of personal encounters to discover what it means to be known, to know myself and to know someone else. Using fragments that become books, collages, videos and installations, I prod disjunctures within and between us. These contexts of intimacy and lack serve to expose the raw and the tender where pretense and politeness are stripped away. Using aggressive passivity as a form of resistance, I wonder again and again, “Why does it hurt so baaaadddd/good?”
