I was born in Honduras, a small tropical country in Latin America. During my time in the U.S., I’ve come to realize how most stereotypes of Latin America are associated with corruption, poverty and gang violence. The problem with stereotypes is not that they are entirely false but that they are incomplete. By depicting a color palette that is native to the Latin American culture, this series aims to tap into the other, much brighter and positive aspects of my culture.
