In what ways do we attempt to remove the pattern and contrast from our lives? What part of our emotions are we trying to hide by blending in, fading, patching over? This work is representative of my own frustration with trying to bleach out and cover up pain and grief and the realization that those things never really disappear from the pattern of our lives.
