This body of work stems from an investigation into place and memory. My initial examination was from an aerial photograph of Hamburg, Germany, a city of great influence on my life. I was interested in the forms and linear marks that emerged intuitively from my drawings. Working on multiple drawings layered on tracing paper reflects the layered concept of connections of known and unknown histories and familiar personal memories.
