Inspired by the jazz album Liquid Spirit by Gregory Porter, I wanted to share the idea that as an artist there is no way to truly capture a person’s true essence or spirit, as we are vessels in constant movement, flowing and changing like the state of water. By depicting the atomic structure, I wanted to show the idea that our spirits and essence are like liquid flowing in and out and connecting with others very much the way music is. When looking at the details, I want viewers to feel as if they are taking steps toward a deeper connection.
