Woven Table

plywood, wax thread, 2015, 18"w x 22"h x 21.5"d

This table is an experiment in structure. There is no glue, there are no screws in this piece. The only materials for the table are plywood and thread. I was testing connections with different knots and how strong the structure could be. The piece gives people a sense that the structure is growing. The system I discovered allows people to create organic forms with control.
