Time and Use (Dysfunctional Screwdrivers)

Bronze sculpture with wood support, 2016, 11.25"w x 9.5"h x 3.25"d

I am intrigued by impermanence: the immediacy of the moment and its counterpoint, time spent, life lived. This work references the frustration of losing capabilities with time and use/misuse. The rigid metal reinforces the hard reality of frustration in decline and the irreversibility of age-based damage.
