One of my greatest inspirations is light and the void it fills. A juxtaposition between industrial material and the uniformity of the artist’s hand. An exploration of the effects of light and color through abstracted landscapes and commentary on nature. The materials of utilitarian use layered and peeled, scraped away to expose sensual, visceral coloration meant to induce muted anxiety and peace. Tempest/Eventide is a diptych that speaks to polar opposites of light during a day. The circular shape is a reminder of lenses of the observer.
