I use inharmonious material interactions to create work indicative of opposing standards of production. I view these opposing standards of production as asymptotically opposed, creeping closer and closer but never quite meeting, despite producers’ best efforts to blur this dotted line. I exhibit the interplay and repulsion between studio and factory by alternating the pace of visual stimuli and by traversing
a spectrum of production characteristics.
