One of my greatest assets is my material, somatic knowledge—knowing with my hands, my skin, my senses. The solitary, rhythmic labor of weaving is my constant. Outside the studio, my role as an artist is to create a different kind of textile. This is one of people and ideas. This garment was created from the weaving process—both literally and metaphorically. Its purpose is to be worn and then woven into one’s life, through one’s journey through space and time.
