The following images are selections from an ongoing study of the materiality and formal properties of Polaroid film. These rarely known and experimental processes underwent a complete removal of the representational image in order to establish the integrity of the material. By exploring the connection this material has with the theories, ideas and oftentimes aesthetics of minimalist painting, the void between painting and photography became the ideal space for the exploration of the analytics of the material.
