2013, Inkjet prints, 24"w x 20"h
I use photography as a tool to expose the world and those who live in it. Motion fascinates me. Dancers inspire me. Emotions and feelings are what I try to capture. Reality in photography is what I wish to challenge. In photography, and everything else, there might not be a reality. Every photograph is a momentary image, concept, illusion or idea made by the photographer. In this series, I wish to expose not only the elegant beauty of dance but also the damage it imposes on the human body. These photographs are not the reality of dance—they are only how I see dance.
