As a painter I explore the relationship between pattern and light. I observe the sporadic nature of architectural facades within urban centers, examining how the passage of time, the elements of weather and cultural activity transform them. My paintings are informed by a process of photography and collage wherein I document and deconstruct the evolving architectural environment, exploring stonework, decorative glass, poster- and graffiti-laden facades.
