2012, postage stamps and magazines, sizes vary
This work deals with multiples, collectables, and mass production in contrast or relation to things that are custom or handmade. I am interested in making pieces that have a level of accessibility, approachability and familiarity, but are further transformed through subtle
and ironic manipulations into something new. I alter an object’s meaning through context and function, thus forcing the viewer to question and reflect on culture
and habit. These collages are an irreverent mixture
of today’s advertising and gossip magazines with
formal portraits found on postage stamps.
A Daimler Company
Due to the building guidelines that are in place in response to the COVID-19 situation, we are unable to install a new art exhibit in 2020 in our Farmington Hills, Michigan and Fort Worth, Texas offices.
Thankfully, the majority of artists who currently have their work on display in our Michigan and Texas locations have graciously allowed us to continue to do so for another year, through the spring of 2021. We would like to extend a huge thank you to those artists and we look forward to continuing with a new exhibition in the summer of 2021.
