My interdisciplinary approach focuses on economically marginalized people maintaining automobiles. The inspiration for this work comes from growing up around my family’s service shop. Opportunities for social mobility in the lower class are stunted because transportation is restricted by capital, leaving people dependent yet constantly on the brink of losing their wheels. Often, second-rate solutions are employed to exist within this system, yet they undermine it.
