Our freedom of choice has boundaries that are shaped by consequences. This painting is my interpretation of what it may feel like to sit with the feeling of guilt. My current artwork revolves around the ideas of family, upbringing, morals and values. My paint application suggests tension, struggle and hardship. As the child of Italian immigrants and members of the Catholic church, I question the dominant institutions we belong to and how they play a part in the decisions we make.
