Screenprint on paper, 2017, 22"w x 30"h
Screen-printing has been a source of research in my work: I have focused on making faces of imaginary figures that I create through an intuitive process. I use various screen-printing processes as well as a power washer to create the images. In the prints there are various symbols and smaller drawings that make up the image as a whole. I see these as adding more depth and content to the images to illustrate a complexity that is in conjunction with an overall simplicity of a portrait. The work is in a conversation with me (as self-portraiture) and with the audience.
A Daimler Company
Due to the building guidelines that are in place in response to the COVID-19 situation, we are unable to install a new art exhibit in 2020 in our Farmington Hills, Michigan and Fort Worth, Texas offices.
Thankfully, the majority of artists who currently have their work on display in our Michigan and Texas locations have graciously allowed us to continue to do so for another year, through the spring of 2021. We would like to extend a huge thank you to those artists and we look forward to continuing with a new exhibition in the summer of 2021.
