These shapes explore my interest in the relationship of objects and their supports. The shelves are as important as what they hold. They are hard geometric shapes softened by the hand and the firing process. The objects on the shelves seem to be growing or changing or about to move or float away. The shelves want to hold the objects, but I’m not sure the objects want to be held. Oh, sure they do. Maybe the shelves want more for themselves. No, they are content.
