The Trinity River area is full of community activities during a sunny day, but on a gloomy one it looks almost abandoned. After taking a walk on a rainy afternoon, I took some shots of the river and foliage, then went back to my dorm room to review the shots. I added an abandoned-looking house to create this eerie feeling, then made the composition and edges of the work into an inkblot shape to unify the essence of water with the whole image. Even a lively and popular area can become desolate during a gloomy afternoon.
