Aung San Suu Kyi has spent much of the past few decades as a political prisoner fighting for human rights and against military atrocities from behind bars. She is now free and campaigning for a parliament seat in Burma. Suu Kyi’s story is inspirational and worth knowing. The atrocities that have been happening to ethnic minorities in Burma for the past several decades are disturbing. This piece was created to help raise awareness for the democracy movement in Burma.
