I use the trapezoid, an abstracted shape of a mountain, to represent memories of long-lasting road trips through the deserts and forests of Iran. In the Virus series, I paint the trapezoid as an entity becoming invaded by an undying viral force and reaching immunity through this process. Smoky Mountain is about the process of reaching immunity.
