My work pertains to my ideas about home. Originally intended to explore displacement, the paintings evolved to represent nomadism. I develop compositions from my photographs that focus on the geometry of the places they depict. By separating the figure (me) and limiting my access to the buildings in the paintings, I deny myself a permanent resting place.
