I call myself a modern occult artist, focusing on the Western esoteric traditions of alchemy, runes and ritual magic. I bring these archaic concepts into the modern world through new materials, methods and technology. My work takes the form of altars or platforms for rituals, units that reference potential magical energy and divine practices. Raised symbols of power protrude through liquid onyx, and crystals are illuminated by ancient power sources. The work depicts the occult in a contemporary light through material and format while staying true to mystical roots. Interconnected both physically and visually, my work creates a map of space, visualizations of the transcendental and a link between different points of history and spiritual systems.
