Growing up as a twin, I have always seen the difference in seemingly identical things. This is an idea reflected in my work because I tend to focus on collections and individualism. By adding a different twist to each element, I give my work its own personality. This personality is typically quite whimsical because I strive for my work to be fun and to evoke a sense of amusement from the viewer. This idea is reflected in Carnival Series because I capture a single event—a carnival here in Fort Worth—and contort each shot to have its own unique personality.
