I am exploring ideas about community, location and dislocation. I believe the most fulfilling communities are derived from a symbiotic relationship between geography and values. I believe these communities are rare. They partly explain the magnetism of places like New York City and San Francisco and why Marfa has become an interesting experiment as an alternative to traditional suburbia and urbanism.
