Generative prints on paper 2019 24"w x 24"h (each)
The forms in this piece, from my Fragile Geomtery series, are 3-D shapes generated with computer code. The generative algorithm can produce a nearly infinite quantity of these images, each unique, by changing three parameters in a series of equations. The resulting calculations determine each form in 3-D virtual space, which is then rendered to a vector image. The natural forms are not human creations but, instead, reveal the inherent natural beauty of numbers. The artist’s “hand and eye” intervene aesthetically only by way of parameter selection and color choices.
