Time inevitably becomes a crucial element within my studio practice as I work primarily with time-sensitive materials such as clay and plaster. Time may appear evident by the solidified, fluid texture of plaster or by the form shaped by the accumulation of clay slip. As each unit within a body of work shares the same process, they resemble each other in one way; however, they speak individually. I attempt to give individuality to each piece by capturing different moments of interaction with the materials and varying the length of time I gave to each process.
