My works elaborate upon ideas of physical and emotional attachment to our surroundings. This work attempts to capture emotional aspects of physical existence and notions of identity, privacy and the extended physical self. The imagery presented in my paintings consists of settings and objects that come in contact with my body on a daily basis. Thus, such objects become an indirect representation of the human body. Since the subjects are assembled based on my surroundings, these works may be seen as intimate, inferential self-portraits.
