The evolution, entropy and planning of urban environments are recurring thematic concerns within my practice. The use of space, the separation that exists between community development and urban renewal as well as the dichotomy that exist within cities, between private and public spaces are expressed through abstracted representations of buildings, cityscapes and methods of mass transit. My current work draws from imagery of TTC platforms, highways and city of Toronto maps to create spatial perceptions of the evolving urban environment.
