MFA 2020
Mixed media: cardboard, packing tape, acryilic, spray paint, colored pencil and Mcdonald’s packaging on panel, 2018, 36.5"w x 41"h x 1.5"d
It’s easy to look at this piece or a lot of my work and easily take it at face value as some sort of commentary about marketing, branding or capitalism, but it’s just not that simple. The Hamburglar is a thief, but to me, he’s more like Robin Hood than Jesse James. Instead, my main objective throughout the entire execution of this piece was to focus on and use a variety of layers both physical and psychological. All meanings—conscious or subconscious—aside, this piece is a reflection of that idea and experimentation with unconventional materials.

Due to the building guidelines that are in place in response to the COVID-19 situation, we are unable to install a new art exhibit in 2020 in our Farmington Hills, Michigan and Fort Worth, Texas offices.
Thankfully, the majority of artists who currently have their work on display in our Michigan and Texas locations have graciously allowed us to continue to do so for another year, through the spring of 2021. We would like to extend a huge thank you to those artists and we look forward to continuing with a new exhibition in the summer of 2021.
This is great, one of my favorite pieces in the building ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ
