Eastern Market Sequence is part of an ongoing series exploring ideas related to transience, passage and the potential of human interaction in areas defined as non-places. Photographing in the public domain, I document sequences of interaction and attempt to illuminate the hidden complexities and layered gestures occurring within these spaces. This project has largely focused on urban areas of Detroit, such as this sequence of images taken on a Saturday morning at a bustling market.
