It is no secret that the way we present ourselves online is only a small reflection of who we are in reality. However, we don’t often think about the role of technology in forming our personalities. In my work, I focus on the role of technology and social media in the formation of identity—specifically, the tensions created in the ways we present ourselves online and in reality.
