cyanotypes, 2013, 10"w x 7"h
The physicality of photography is manifest in these cyanotypes. Echoes of my relationship to materials gathered, echoes of the forced relationship between chemistry and paper, material and chemistry, then, finally, the sun making contact with the paper. I utilize the tree as a universal body that continues to mark time beyond death with its growing rings. The imagery is presented in arrangements that highlight the connections between different cycles found in nature.
