Steel, 2016, 28"w x 7"h x 1"d
I am exploring the relationship we have with things: how we project life onto the things with which we surround ourselves every day. Through my sculptural steel structures, I am trying to understand the interaction—the behavioral qualities shaping what attracts us. This work is an extension of the lines and spaces we possess individually, conveying a better sense of self upon what is in front of us. I feel an exchange of energy between our bodies and the space we occupy. It is a partnership where we alternately give and take, where one demands and defines the other.
