Oil on canvas, 2016, 30"w x 36"h
I use old family home videos and photographs as my source material to create autobiographical oil paintings about how my relationship with my twin sister has developed throughout the years. Exploring my family archive of photographs, I gravitate toward images of us that seem spontaneous and candid. Through the translation of these photographs into paintings, I focus on exploring our twin bond in an attempt to illustrate moments of personal growth. By reflecting on these family photographs and videos, I am inviting the viewer to connect with the imagery and with feelings of nostalgia.
A Daimler Company
Due to the building guidelines that are in place in response to the COVID-19 situation, we are unable to install a new art exhibit in our Farmington Hills, Michigan and Fort Worth, Texas offices.
Thankfully, the majority of artists who currently have their work on display in our Michigan and Texas locations have graciously allowed us to continue to do so through the spring of 2021. We would like to extend a huge thank you to those artists and we look forward to continuing with a new exhibition in the summer of 2021.
