Landscape viewed from a moving vehicle presents itself as a series of framed scenes, mesmerizing and ungraspable. While traveling, I repeatedly photograph the countryside as it peels away behind me. Seen through the camera lens and the car window, the images both record my visual experience and crystallize my distance. Back in the studio, manipulating the images in Photoshop and by hand, I metaphorically get out of the car.
