I first fell in love with photography when I was fifteen, when I spent my winter wading through a thick, damp fog that had hung itself over the California coast, documenting each step with a camera I was lent. Two years later in Italy, I had begun to understand photography as a way of capturing and preserving the emotions enkindled in me by the places I visited. This landscape series reflects my time there; from the coast of Sorrento to the heart of Rome, these images provide a portal to the beautiful Mediterranean country that enriched my love for photography.
