Within my works there is a tactile quality that is created through material that is either appropriated or crafted. These aspects tend to be related by formal decisions that feature coincidental, accidental, unexpected connections. These forms tend not to follow logical criteria but are based only on subjective associations and formal parallels, which incite the viewer to make new personal associations.
