Turning into pigs can be a metaphor for becoming greedy. It can also represent losing one’s original self and identity. It’s easy to be manipulated by other forces when we lose ourselves. I know we can never own ourselves. We are easily tempted or controlled. Our society owns and swallows us. This society is trying to tell us how to feel and when to feel. We are just like domestic pigs. I am not sure if my life—or happiness—really belongs to me. I am not sure if my happiness is real happiness. We just look happy, like pigs.
