MFA 2019
Concrete with acrylic lenses and LED lights, 2017, 13"w x 13"h x 14"d
The inspiration was from a thing in our studio restroom—an extrusion on the concrete floor. It catches my eye every time I sit on the toilet. I can’t stop thinking about it. The more I think about it, the more I like it. It looks like a stone growing up from the ground. I strongly feel it has a life. Therefore, I started to think of giving my work a life so that I can inject emotion into it easier. Then I tried to introduce some biological features into my work, such as breathing and growth, and now explore what will happen with it after giving concrete a life.

Due to the building guidelines that are in place in response to the COVID-19 situation, we are unable to install a new art exhibit in 2020 in our Farmington Hills, Michigan and Fort Worth, Texas offices.
Thankfully, the majority of artists who currently have their work on display in our Michigan and Texas locations have graciously allowed us to continue to do so for another year, through the spring of 2021. We would like to extend a huge thank you to those artists and we look forward to continuing with a new exhibition in the summer of 2021.
