My home, Shanghai (the name literally means “Above Sea,” although one doesn’t actually see the sea from the city center), always lingers in my mind. There lived the younger me, who then left home alone at a young age and alone traveled across the sea to a foreign land. That younger me, I often recalled as sitting on the back seat of Dad’s bike after school, looking down at the wheels flying among and over the shadow and light on the asphalt road, bypassing the plane trees that created all these shining light spots in the bike’s breeze. When I paint such a scene, the hot, yellow summer street naturally turns into blue.

Due to the building guidelines that are in place in response to the COVID-19 situation, we are unable to install a new art exhibit in our Farmington Hills, Michigan and Fort Worth, Texas offices.
Thankfully, the majority of artists who currently have their work on display in our Michigan and Texas locations have graciously allowed us to continue to do so through the spring of 2021. We would like to extend a huge thank you to those artists and we look forward to continuing with a new exhibition in the summer of 2021.
