Soap, 2019, 12"w x 8"h x 8"d
Driven by my medical background, my work explores elements of the natural world and their relation to the body. My soap pieces echo the softness and rigidity present in the intersection of the mind and body. They reflect our inner spirit in the organic formation of physical matter. Though our bodies grow in a seemingly linear path, nature and the mind interrupt this predictability. The work reimagines the potential physicality of the mind. It reflects personal memories. My work encourages viewers to contemplate their own memories in relation to nature, matter and spirt.
