I have a fondness for things in the universe that often go unnoticed by the general public—such as remote islands, with few or no inhabitants, alone in some forgotten corner of the sea, never to be traveled to, talked about, or even known. In Remote Islands I devote my time and thoughts to these lost elements of our universe, glorifying them in detailed renderings based on scientific maps. Each island receives great attention and care. I learn each island’s details and stories and then translate those elements into a singular print.
