2013, Earthenware with clear glaze, 12"w x 11"h x 12"d (each)
The forms are simple and focused. Their minimal style removes typical expression. The eyes and mouths are merely implied. The remaining features: ears, noses and hairlines are more passive components that do not change much with expression. This seeming lack of expression encourages the viewer to read the positioning of the forms as body language. The heads compare physical relationships between objects to emotional relationships between people. Interactions are expressed by placing the heads in different proximities and orientations to each other. The viewer interprets their posturing as an emotional connection or disconnection.

I LOVE the positioning of all the heads, especially this one it is very intimate, like we are interrupting a private conversation or moment. Excellant pieces! Congratulation to the artist.
