In my work I am concerned with objects as well as the classification and hierarchies of objects. The objects of these two different cultures, as far as functionality is concerned, are quite similar. The pots and Native American objects are considered valuable and historically important, worthy of preservation, whereas the cans and washing machines are deemed eyesores to be removed from our sight.
