I have been exploring the interchange of thoughts, memories and experiences since my father’s diagnosis of Alzheimer’s in 2003. Perceptions of our past experiences and how we store the not-always-accurate information paint our own stories. Blue is the color of truth. Frank Sinatra said, “Orange is the happiest color.” I like both. The combination of water images and the incorporation of finely textured sands (from Cabo San Lucas) within the painted surface reflect the passing of time—the grinding of memories into sifting sand.
