2003, Oil and charcoal on canvas, 90"w x 80"h
An interest in the dynamics of nature involves my work. The reasoning of these dynamics evolves my work. Paintings and sculpture are my records of that process.
Though some works seem nonobjective, there are references to the observed. The works are not typically the result of a single observation. But, single observations are catalysts that spark recollection, assimilation and composition. The work has its roots fixed in a diagrammatic exploration of such things as perception, motion and gravity.
Imagination and observation are my muses. They are like flint and metal, when struck together the potential is infinite.

I love it, there is NO red in sight! Alot of the time the painting pops out to me because of the name of the piece!
