The fragmented experience of memory as a displaced body was a major interest of mine during the last project that I implemented. It was also an attempt to combine the languages of nonobjective and objective painting as a way to question those boundaries and create paintings that are about sensitivity of touch, surface, and materiality of paint and at the same time speak to the illusionistic quality of painting and its ability to tell open-ended narratives.
