In today’s society, progression seems to be the main topic of most conversations, from massive corporations building new facilities to the next new iPhone. I have found that these progressive advancements go hand and hand with functionality. Living in Texas, I’ve struggled with the shrinking wilderness due to development. I love functionality but also nature. I find myself creating works that resemble earthy, organic forms to bring attention to the environment.
