My work deals with energized abstract forms. These forms are based on my photos, reference imagery and arbitrary thoughts in my mind. Using what I’ve learned from my psychology courses, I create unique shapes from my mind. As an artist, I don’t try to force the paint to do what I want. Instead, I collaborate with its strengths and weaknesses. When I am in the zone, deep within my mind, interesting imagery comes into reality; it can give viewers a different perspective of how a painting should make them feel.
